Scott and Anderson, both 22, have become key players in the midfield of the youth team that successfully defended its U21 European Championship title this summer.

During the tournament, Scott wore a protective mask due to a jaw fracture he sustained from an elbow by Aston Villa player Tyrone Mings.

England coach Tuchel traveled to Slovakia to observe the final, where England defeated Germany 3-2 in extra time.

After the match, Tuchel stopped by the dressing room to congratulate the team. Scott recalled:

“He accidentally gave my jaw a little tap while celebrating! We laughed about it. It wasn't painful, to be honest.”

Scott dreams of impressing the national team coach, as his goal is to play for the senior team:

“That's my aim. I have to show myself on the pitch.”

Anderson has already proven his worth, being named man of the match in his first two games for the senior team during World Cup qualifiers.

Scott in excellent form

Alex Scott is showing outstanding performance as a leading player for Bournemouth this season. He has known Anderson since 2022 when both played in Bristol.

Scott notes: “We often keep in touch, and I'm very happy for him to make it to the senior national team. I'm proud of him.”

The team currently sits in fourth place in the standings, despite the recent sale of key players. Scott confirms that the friendly atmosphere in the team is the key to their success:

“We often go for coffee, and it strengthens our relationships.”

Alex plans to continue demonstrating outstanding results, hoping to attract Tuchel's attention and earn a chance in the national team.
