Alfred Dunhill Links Championship

According to The Sun: This week, four Ryder Cup heroes from Europe will participate in the Dunhill Links Championship in Scotland, including defending champion and three-time winner Tyrrell Hatton.

Players are expected to receive a warm welcome from fans, unlike the aggressive youngsters who insulted them at Bethpage Black.

Luke Donald's team has been true heroes, at least in my opinion.

Tommy Fleetwood, one of the participants this week, won with odds of 12-1 in the top scorer category, and a score of 15-13 was also predicted with the same odds.

Justin Rose, who started first in singles, has odds of 18-1, while Cameron Young shares the top spot in the US scoring list with Xander Schauffele, whose name also comes with odds of 25-1.

The question now arises: where to 'reinvest' the winnings to keep the celebration spirit alive?

Predictions for the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship 2025

Hatton looks like the obvious choice due to his impressive record in this tournament.

In his last seven appearances in this tournament, he has achieved several second places and three victories, with his worst result being 15th place. Odds of 7-1 look very attractive.

Fleetwood is the favorite with odds of 6-1, marking two second places in this tournament and a third place last year. Matt Fitzpatrick and Robert MacIntyre are also considered favorites with odds of 10-1 and 12-1, respectively.

However, the Ryder Cup was such a draining experience that I can't back any of this quartet for short bets. They deserve a break and may not be as focused on this event.

Marco Penge, who did not receive a wild card at Bethpage after two wins this year, has an attractive odds of 20-1.

Last year, Penge fell short due to a catastrophic first round of 75 at Carnoustie, where he shot nine and seven on the second nine.

This scenario is possible at the toughest course in the world. But the powerful Englishman responded well, posting scores of 69 and 70 at Kingsbarns and St Andrews.

He is now a much more experienced player and is following Rory McIlroy on the current DP World Tour money list. He is fully capable of outperforming his second place at the Scottish Open three months ago.

I also think Rasmus Nirgard-Petersen, with odds of 25-1, has good chances. He seems to have found success on the links, finishing tied for fourth last year.

Previous experience in this tournament is very important, so one might look at Haotong Li with odds of 40-1, who finished seventh last year and has proven his love for links golf at the Open Championship this year.

Among the long shots, 80-1 on Lauri Kinta and Peter Ulhein deserves some attention, while the improving Frenchman Tom Vaillant appears overvalued with odds of 150-1. Also, 200-1 on Brandon Robinson-Thompson.

Predictions for Sanderson Farms Championship

The only Ryder Cup player participating in the Sanderson Farms Championship in Jackson, Mississippi, is another European, Rasmus Hojgaard.

He struggled during his debut at Bethpage, losing both matches. So, despite a few finishes in the second place in his last four starts, I'm not interested in the odds of 33-1.

However, I recommend paying attention to a bet on Mackenzie Hughes with odds of 33-1. The Canadian won in 2022, finished in the top ten last year, and approaches the competition after a shared seventh place at Procore, where ten members of the US Ryder Cup team played.

Emilian Grillo also showed decent results at Procore, finishing fourth. He has performed well in Jackson before, so he also deserves a bet at 33-1.

Michael Torbjornsen is beginning to justify expectations after a brilliant college career, and odds of 25-1 seem fair. Do not confuse him with Torbjorn Oleson, but a bet of 50-1 on the former Ryder Cup player may also be interesting!

Beau Hossler is another 50-1 choice, and I have not lost hope in USPGA player Davis Riley, despite his missed starts.

With odds of 150-1, he could be an intriguing option. David Lipsky has caused disappointment at Procore, but two top-three finishes in his previous five starts indicate he should also be considered with odds of 150-1.
