Alla Belinska won gold at the World Wrestling Championship
According to inkorr.com: Ukrainian wrestler Alla Belinska in the 72 kg category won victory over her opponent from Turkey in the final, becoming the world champion and receiving a gold medal. This is already the second victory for our women's team in this competition and overall for Ukraine at this championship. Alla became the first Ukrainian athlete to win the world championship in the last seven years.
Other Ukrainian wrestlers, Iryna Kolyadenko (up to 65 kg) and Anastasia Alpeieva (up to 76 kg), were unable to win bronze medals, losing in the matches for third place. Greco-Roman style athletes also began their performances. Currently, Ihor Bychkov (up to 77 kg), Ruslan Abdiyev (up to 82 kg), and Mykola Kuchmiy (up to 130 kg) have the opportunity to compete for bronze medals.
It is also worth noting that Ukraine took 10th place in the medal standings of the European Youth Olympic Festival, winning 5 gold, 8 silver, and 10 bronze medals. This is the second most successful performance of our athletes in the history of the festival, which has been held since 1993. Our team won a record number of medals in 2019, winning 25 awards then.
The team of Ukrainian athletes continues to impress us with their achievements, winning new awards and showcasing their results at international competitions. At the World Wrestling Championships and the European Youth Olympic Festival, our athletes once again confirm their high mastery and determination to win.
The performances of Ukrainian athletes on the international stage continue to emphasize their determination and pursuit of success. Alla Belinska's gold medal opens new prospects for our team, while the results at the youth festival demonstrate the stability and potential of young Ukrainian athletes. These achievements inspire the next generations of athletes and increase interest in wrestling and other sports in Ukraine.Read also
