Introducing the New EPYC Venice Processors

According to ITC.ua — Техно: AMD is set to unveil its latest EPYC Venice processors at the Advancing AI Event conference on July 22–23. Designed for traditional x86 workloads, these chips boast enhanced performance and energy efficiency. AMD CTO Mark Papermaster has confirmed the release, noting that while the processors maintain leadership in the x86 segment, they are tailored to meet modern business demands.

EPYC Venice Specifications

The EPYC Venice processors feature 256 Zen 6 cores—a 33% increase over the previous EPYC Turin model, which had 192 cores. According to Papermaster, the new chips deliver 70% better performance and energy efficiency compared to Zen 5-based models. Manufacturing relies on TSMC's 2nm process, enabling these high performance levels.

EPYC Venice introduces a new SP7 socket and supports 16-channel memory with bandwidth up to 1.6 TB/s. It also adopts the PCIe Gen 6.0 standard for improved connectivity between the processor and graphics accelerators.
