American Operation Against Shadow Fleet
According to The Sun: The United States conducted yet another bold operation against a shadow fleet tanker in the Caribbean Sea, near Trinidad. The tanker 'Olina', which was reportedly improperly flying the flag of Timor-Leste, had previously set sail from Venezuela and returned to the region, according to an industry source.
Two American officials confirmed this action, which was carried out by the Coast Guard and other armed forces.
This operation is part of the US efforts to combat illegal maritime transport associated with violations of international norms. Such actions highlight the activity of American military forces in the region and their readiness to act against illegal activities in the Caribbean Sea.
