Turki Alalshih Seeks Tyson Fury's Return

However, known for his unexpected statements, the 'Gypsy King' continues to hint at a possible return in 2026. Meanwhile, Joshua has not stepped into the ring since September 2024, when he lost to Daniel Dubois.

Hearn is focused on bringing Joshua back to the ring and plans a major fight with Fury next year. The promoter has already met with the head of Saudi boxing Alalshih and announced a sponsorship deal for Matchroom sports events.

However, Hearn emphasized that discussions were about the long-anticipated British fight. He told Ring magazine:

“He wants to make Joshua vs Fury, that's no secret. He is eager to organize the biggest fights in the sport, and this is the biggest fight in boxing right now. We have to agree on our part, and then it depends on Turki if he can get Fury into the ring.”

“The best thing right now is that we are not negotiating with Frank Warren or Tyson Fury about a deal. We just need to find our deal, and if Turki can arrange the fight, then it will happen. If not, it won't. We are focused on that.”

“We have plans for Joshua to return to the ring as soon as possible, and then prepare for a massive fight with Tyson Fury in 2026. We will make a deal with Turki, and he will try to sign an agreement with Tyson Fury. Hopefully, we can make that happen.”

Hearn has received offers for 35-year-old Joshua to return to Africa and recently met with a former champion in Dubai. He noted: “Joshua is in great shape. When I get the call: ‘Come, I’m ready’, he is really ready. He is already in training camp for the fight.”

Hearn also expects Joshua to continue working with coach Ben Davison, who previously trained Fury. He said: “He has trained with various specialists. He has a great relationship with Ben, and he understands that Ben is a very good trainer, and his experience will undoubtedly help in this sport.”

“Right now he is physically preparing himself for tough training, sparring, and the necessary 8-10 week training cycle. It’s quite close. We’d like him to return this year.”

Currently, Frank Warren, Fury's promoter, stated that the 37-year-old boxer is ready to come out of retirement. Warren told DAZN: “I spoke with him last week; he said he wants to return and fight next year. He really wants that.”

PA X In connection with these events, Fury's return and a possible fight with Joshua have generated considerable interest among boxing fans. Both boxers have significant chances to return to the top in 2026, and both promoters are actively working to make these plans a reality. We can only wait for developments to see if this grand fight will take place.
