Forecast for July 17-19: Anticyclone Laurent Brings Heat Up to +32°C.
Sunny Skies Across Ukraine
According to Espreso.tv: Meteorologist Natalka Didenko has announced stable sunny and dry weather across Ukraine. The anticyclone named Laurent will maintain a steady atmospheric pattern, driving temperatures upward. Daytime highs will reach +25 to +29°C, while in Transcarpathia and the southern regions, thermometers will climb between +27°C and +32°C. In the northeastern part of the country, temperatures will hover around +22 to +24°C.
However, a cold atmospheric front could trigger localized thunderstorms with rain in the southeast. On July 18-19, Ukraine will continue to experience mostly dry, sunny, and moderately warm conditions. But by July 19, western regions are expected to see thunderstorms, with potential heavy downpours and squalls. In Kyiv, the daytime temperature on July 17 will be approximately +25°C.
'The anticyclone Laurent is the reason behind the sunny and dry weather,' notes Natalka Didenko.
Weather Impact on Agriculture
According to forecasts, the stable weather across Ukraine in the coming days could positively affect agriculture, as favorable conditions support plant growth and harvest collection. Still, attention should be paid to possible thunderstorms that may affect certain regions, especially the western areas, potentially creating challenges for local residents and farmers.
