Victory and Inspiration
According to The Sun: JESUS SALATE plans to win a prize of £1 million and become the 'hand of God' in darts, just as Diego Maradona did. The fighter from Buenos Aires will be the first Argentine to participate in the World Championship, playing against Ryan Mikhail at Arsenal Pale House on December 19.
Salate, 42, admits that Maradona is his inspiration:
“Maradona has always been a role model for me, his path in sports shows how one can achieve success.”
This event is significant for darts in Argentina, as the first representative of the country on the world stage can inspire young athletes. Salate's performance in the World Championship will not only highlight his personal achievements but also open new opportunities for the development of darts in his homeland.
