Yaroslava Mahuchikh to compete for European Female Athlete of the Year title.
Voting for the best European athletes in 2024 has begun, reports the Ukrainian Athletics Federation.
On October 26, the winners' names will be announced at the ceremony in Skopje. Ukrainians can support Yaroslava Mahuchikh with their votes.
In 2024, Mahuchikh broke the world record in the high jump, soaring to 2.10 m at a Diamond League event in Paris. A month later, she became an Olympic champion.
She was also victorious in other competitions, including the European Championship and the Diamond League final. The only tournament where she did not win gold was the World Championship in Glasgow, where she took silver.
All these achievements allowed Mahuchikh to be listed among the contenders for the title of Europe's best female athlete.
Voting will continue until September 29 on the European Athletics website. To vote, you need to select the candidates and confirm your vote by logging into an existing account or creating a new one.
