One more victim died on the spot, raising the death toll to 15.
Local sources also report that three people were able to be rescued alive and were taken to nearby hospitals.
Witnesses told Diario de Yucatán about the horrifying scene where people were trapped in the burning wreckage, while others lay dead on the road.
Firefighters, paramedics, and police actively fought the flames and rescued those who survived.
Meanwhile, the National Guard and expert teams secured the accident scene.
Officials have not yet released data on the victims or the exact cause of the accident.
According to local media, this disaster has become the worst road tragedy in Yucatán in the last 50 years.

“Since the first report from emergency services, safety and health cares have been working on-site to provide urgent assistance,” he added.
