Deadly Drone Strikes on Kharkiv Region: One Woman Killed, Eight Injured, and Ten Fires Reported.
Massive Drone Assault
According to Novyny.live: A large-scale Russian drone attack on the Kharkiv region has resulted in tragic losses: a 79-year-old woman was killed, and eight other people sustained injuries. Emergency crews extinguished ten fires that broke out as a result of the shelling.
The drone assault occurred over the past 24 hours. On June 26, Russian drones struck a multi-story residential building in Izium, igniting a blaze that spread across roughly 70 square meters. The attacks also damaged nine vehicles. Injuries were reported in three communities:
- Bohodukhiv
- Staryi Saltiv
- Nova Vodolaha
Infrastructure Under Fire
In addition, the attack targeted gas stations in the Solonytsivka community of the Kharkiv district. One station saw its building destroyed, with the fire covering an area of 400 square meters. Russian strikes also damaged railway infrastructure, buses, cars, farm buildings, and power grids across the following districts:
- Bohodukhiv
- Kharkiv
- Lozova
- Izium
- Chuhuiv
This attack underscores the dire situation in the region and the ongoing toll of military actions on local residents. The Kharkiv region remains under intense pressure, as regular shelling continues to devastate civilian structures and critical infrastructure. This raises serious concerns for the safety of the population, who continue to suffer from the conflict's consequences.
