Drone Strike in Ukraine’s Mykolaiv Region Injures Ten, Including Eight Children.
Strike on Mykolaiv Region
According to UATV: On March 29, the Russian military launched a drone attack on the Mykolaiv region, leaving ten people wounded—eight of them children aged 10 to 16. Among the injured minors were five girls and three boys, highlighting the severe toll on the most vulnerable population. Two women, ages 18 and 40, were also hurt. Medical teams report that a 13-year-old girl and the 40-year-old woman are in critical condition, raising urgent concerns for their recovery.
The attack targeted the Voskresensk community, damaging three residential buildings, several shops, and vehicles. This incident underscores the ongoing danger faced by civilians in frontline areas of Ukraine.
Power Outages Reported in Khmelnytskyi Region
Separately, power outages have hit the Khmelnytskyi region, likely linked to the same assault. Serhiy Tiurin, head of the Khmelnytskyi Regional Military Administration, confirmed the disruptions and called for an immediate response. These blackouts further illustrate the broader impact on civilian infrastructure and daily life.
This attack marks another escalation of violence directly affecting non-combatants, particularly children. The destruction of infrastructure and rising civilian casualties reflect a persistent security crisis in Ukraine stemming from the war. Urgent action from both national authorities and the international community is needed to protect civilians and prevent further loss of life.
