Strike on Sumshchyna: 17 Communities Damaged, Two Dead and Four Wounded.
Assault on the Sumy Region
According to Novyny.live: Russian occupying forces launched an attack on the Sumy region, causing damage to 17 local communities. Two people were killed, and four others sustained injuries. The assault unfolded over the course of a day, inflicting significant harm on the area's municipalities.
Affected Communities
Specifically, in the Bilopillia community, a 64-year-old woman lost her life, while in the Seredyna-Buda community, a 57-year-old woman was killed. Among the wounded are a 51-year-old man and a 66-year-old man, both injured in the Bilopillia area. Additionally, the attack left a 69-year-old man hurt in the Myropillia community, and a 44-year-old man was injured in the Sumy community.
Authorities have launched criminal investigations under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine in connection with these events. The extent of damage sustained by the communities underscores the severity of the situation in the region and the urgent need for measures to ensure public safety.
This attack is part of the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
Given the escalation of violence, local government bodies and international observers are working to identify ways to enhance security and protect civilians in the impacted communities.
