Strike on the Sumy Community

According to Novyny.live: An early morning assault by Russian forces on the Sumy community has driven the number of injured to 18, with children among the victims. The most severely hurt is a 47-year-old woman who sustained critical injuries during the shelling. The attack, carried out using three drones, caused significant destruction across the area.

Damage and Aftermath

Damage was recorded at seven locations, affecting both multi-story and private homes, as well as infrastructure sites and civilian vehicles. The strikes sparked fires in a residential building, a garage, and a car. In total, eight private houses and several civilian cars were damaged.

Currently, two children and two adults are hospitalized. Rescue teams are still working to clear the aftermath, having already unblocked an entrance and freed a person trapped inside one of the damaged structures. The situation remains critical, and emergency services are actively mitigating the consequences of this tragedy.

This attack is part of the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, which continues to inflict harm on civilians and infrastructure.

The increasing number of casualties, including children, underscores the war's humanitarian toll and the urgent need for response from rescue and medical services.
