Russian Attacks Claim 2 Lives, Injure 18 in Three Ukrainian Regions Over 24 Hours.
Impact of Russian Strikes
According to UATV: Over the past day, Russian attacks have killed two civilians and wounded 18 others across the Donetsk, Kherson, and Chernihiv regions. In Donetsk, shelling left six people injured. The Kherson region saw 11 casualties, while one person was wounded in Chernihiv.
The strikes also damaged 20 private homes and warehouse facilities. A particularly devastating hit occurred when a drone struck a historic building that housed the city library, completely destroying it. These attacks have left approximately 100 households without electricity.
Humanitarian Crisis Deepens
According to Vadym Filashkin,
“over the past 24 hours, Russian forces shelled populated areas in the Donetsk region 21 times.”Meanwhile, 534 people—including 56 children—were evacuated from frontline areas, underscoring the ongoing humanitarian emergency.
These developments highlight the relentless violence in eastern Ukraine, which continues to inflict civilian casualties and destroy infrastructure. Humanitarian operations remain critical, focusing on evacuation efforts to protect vulnerable populations, especially children, from the escalating danger.
