New Phase of Metro Construction on Vynohradar Launched by Autostrada: Key Changes Ahead.
Metro Construction on Vynohradar
According to Novyny.live: Autostrada has initiated the next stage of work on the Kyiv metro extension to the Vynohradar district, which includes installing a new stormwater drainage system and setting up engineering networks. This project aims to upgrade the area's transport infrastructure and give residents easier access to public transit.
The planned stormwater drainage network will span over 470 meters in total length. As part of the project, a collector with a diameter of 1200 mm will be installed to efficiently channel rainwater. To support these efforts, launch and reception shafts have been prepared for the Herrenknecht AG tunnel boring machine, enabling the excavation of new tunnels.
Construction Progress
Currently, more than 1,500 meters of monolithic tunnels have already been completed on the section between the 'Mostytska' and 'Varshavska' stations. Additionally, a branching structure leading to the future 'Vynohradar' station is now finished, indicating strong progress on the project.
The work carried out by Autostrada represents a significant milestone in expanding the Ukrainian capital's metro system and is intended to enhance transportation accessibility in the Vynohradar area.
This metro project is part of Kyiv's broader transport infrastructure development strategy, which seeks to reduce traffic congestion and improve the city's environmental conditions. The planned activities will not only make public transit more convenient for local residents but also contribute to the overall growth of the district, boosting its appeal to investors.
