Biden assessed Ukraine's chances of defeating Putin.
US President Joe Biden shared his thoughts on Ukraine's chances of victory after a conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
On January 10, a phone call took place between Zelensky and Biden, during which several important issues were discussed. Subsequently, Biden stated that Ukraine has a real opportunity to defeat Russia in the confrontation and outlined the conditions for this.
The cost of the war for Russia is incredibly high. More than 600,000 military personnel have been killed or wounded. North Koreans, whom the Russians brought to the war, also have a high mortality rate.
The US President emphasized that the US will continue to assist Ukraine, which will provide Ukrainians with real chances of victory. He also noted that he has done everything possible within his powers to support Ukraine and believes that assistance may continue even against the will of the Trump administration. There is sufficient support in Congress from both Democrats and Republicans.
Zelensky also discussed new US sanctions and other issues with Biden. The details of the conversation are not disclosed.
