Biden postponed visit to Ramstein meeting due to Hurricane "Milton".
US President Joe Biden postponed his planned visits to Germany and Angola due to the approaching Hurricane "Milton" to Florida.
White House spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre confirmed this information.
Biden decided to stay in the US to oversee the preparation and response to Hurricane "Milton", as well as to monitor the aftermath of Hurricane "Helen" in the southeastern part of the country.
Meeting in "Ramstein" format in Germany
It was known that on October 12, Biden planned to attend a meeting of the Contact Group on Defense Issues of Ukraine in Germany in the "Ramstein" format. This was to be the first personal meeting at the leaders' level in such a format. At this meeting, President Volodymyr Zelensky planned to present the "victory plan" to allied states.
The media had previously reported expectations of new steps in supporting Ukraine at the meeting in the "Ramstein" format, particularly regarding its North Atlantic integration.
