Ukrainians are prohibited from entering Moldova without a technical inspection: new border rules.
Ukrainian drivers must now have a certificate of vehicle technical safety to travel to Moldova. If there is no technical inspection certificate, vehicles will not be allowed to cross the border, even if all other documents are in order.
At the border with Moldova, Ukrainian drivers are required to have an official certificate of passing the technical inspection. This is a new mandatory requirement that complements the standard set of documents for traveling to the neighboring country. The certificate confirms that the vehicle meets safety requirements.
What documents are needed to cross the border with Moldova
In addition to the technical inspection certificate, drivers also need to carry a biometric or foreign passport, a driver's license, a vehicle registration certificate, a 'Green Card' - insurance, and proof of payment of road fees. Furthermore, if there is a child passenger in the car, their documents and notarized consent for traveling with one parent or relatives must be provided.
It is also important to consider prohibited items in the trunk, including: weapons, drugs, prescription medications without documents, meat, milk, honey, and seedlings without certificates. Violation of these rules may result in fines and confiscation of goods.
Remember that there may be problems at the border if you have certain banknotes in dollars or euros, and you may be turned back in August without certain documents.
The emergence of a new mandatory requirement at the border with Moldova regarding the availability of a technical inspection certificate for Ukrainian drivers adds additional security and compliance aspects for traveling. This initiative aims to ensure safe and standards-compliant border crossing between countries.Read also
