Without a military ID – without rights: Ukrainians abroad have a surprise.
Restrictions for draft-eligible men abroad
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has introduced new restrictions on the issuance and exchange of driver's licenses for draft-eligible men abroad, reports the "Judicial and Legal Gazette".
According to the decision, men aged 18 to 60 who have not updated their military registration data in the Unified State Register of Draftees, Reservists, and Conscripts "Oberig" will not be able to obtain a driver's license and vehicle registration certificate while outside Ukraine.
These restrictions will be in effect during martial law and for 3 months after its termination. They apply to services for exchanging a driver's license, obtaining it after loss or theft, as well as state registration and re-registration of vehicles.
Additionally, driver's licenses and vehicle registration certificates cannot be sent by international mail to draft-eligible men for whom there is no information about their exclusion from military registration or updating of personal data.
The mentioned changes are related to services provided by the units of the state enterprise "Dokument", which falls under the management of the State Migration Service and is located outside Ukraine.
We remind you that in one of the regions of Ukraine, summons are being sent by mail.
