Savings in Dollars - Where Not to Keep Currency.
Ukrainians often exchange hryvnias for dollars or euros and save their savings in foreign currency. Only then do they decide where to keep the accumulated money.
The editorial team of Novyny.LIVE explains how to properly store dollars.
Where Not to Keep Dollars
For many people, keeping money in a closet, in books, or simply in some old clothes is normal. However, in reality, these places are by no means safe for storing money because:
- thieves may break into your home and steal your savings;
- you might simply forget where you put the money;
- notes may inadvertently fall out;
- if there are pets living in the home where the money is stored, they may damage it.
Dollars should also not be stored:
- in books - as ink stains may remain on the banknotes;
- in places with high humidity - this creates ideal conditions for mold growth.
How to Save Savings in Dollars
The best ways to store dollars are:
- opening a bank account;
- investing savings.
Earlier we mentioned that exchangers refuse to accept certain dollars. This refers to banknotes from 1996.
We also remind you which currency is suitable for transfers from abroad to relatives in Ukraine. There is a way to avoid conversion to hryvnias.
The article discusses the risks of storing money in dollars at home and offers safe alternatives, such as opening a bank account or investing savings.
