Russian-Belarusian exercises have concluded: no activity on the border with Ukraine.
Situation on the border between Belarus and Ukraine
According to inkorr.com: After the completion of the joint military exercises 'Zapad-2025', there is no activity on the border between Belarus and Ukraine. This was stated by Andriy Demchenko, spokesperson for the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, on television.
According to him, after the exercises, Belarusian and Russian units returned to their bases. The number of Russian troops was minimal, and at the moment they are not present at the border.
“Belarus has maintained a small number of units on the border with Ukraine since 2022, trying to show that the threat comes specifically from Ukraine,” Demchenko noted.
Currently, there are no military activities observed on the border between Belarus and Ukraine from either Belarusian or Russian military forces. After the exercises, the units returned to their places of deployment, and the situation at the border remains calm.
Thus, at the moment, the situation on the border between the two countries is stable. The absence of military activities indicates that both sides are adhering to a state of calm after the exercises. This may reduce tensions in the region, however, it remains relevant to consider changes in the security policies of both states in the future.
