Amorim at Manchester United advised to change tactics: what the legends disapprove of.
Ruben Amorim's problems at Manchester United
According to The Sun: Ruben Amorim, the manager of Manchester United, has been warned about the need to change his playing approach after a 3-0 defeat in the derby at the Etihad Stadium. The Portuguese claims he plans to remain loyal to his controversial 3-4-2-1 tactic.

The defeat to Manchester City marked the worst start to a season for the Red Devils since 1992, with the team earning only four points from the first four matches. Two prominent 'Class of 92' players – Paul Scholes and Nicky Butt – are convinced the new manager has quickly become readable to opponents.
They claim the team is too easy to play against, and if Amorim does not make changes, he could lose his job.
“Forget about the system for a moment, the players are not up to the level required, they are not quick enough, not aggressive enough,” said Butt.
Butt also noted that the current United players are not showing enough aggression even in tough matches, pointing out that during the derby, none of them received a yellow card even though the score was already 3-0.
Criticism of individuals and transfers
Scholes highlighted that even if Amorim changes his tactics, he is not sure about the ability of the current players to get the team back on track.
“I’m not sure, even if he changes to 4-3-3 – that the players are good enough,” noted Scholes.
There are also questions about how much money has been spent on new players and why issues remain unchanged.
“This summer, two No. 10s were bought. Did we need to buy both?” noted Scholes.
Error with the goalkeeper
Scholes criticized the club's president for the decision regarding the goalkeeper change.
“Why didn’t they sign Donnarumma? That’s the biggest mistake,” he concluded.
Amorim started Altay Bayındır in goal during the derby, which also raised questions due to his lack of reliability.
