Wings of Hope Charity Delivers $500 Million in Aid Across Three Core Areas.
About the Wings of Hope Foundation
According to Espreso.tv: Nearly two decades ago, Natalia Lipska founded the charitable organization 'Wings of Hope,' initially focusing on supporting children with cancer. Over time, the foundation expanded its mission into three main pillars: medical aid, humanitarian relief, and legislative advocacy. Since the outbreak of conflict in Ukraine in 2014, the group has also been providing assistance to the military. Notably, it has supplied hospitals with medical equipment and supplies worth approximately $850,000 USD.
Wartime Contributions
Following the full-scale war that began in 2022, the foundation has delivered aid totaling 500 million hryvnias.
As Natalia Lipska stated: 'Consider this—our organization alone has provided 500 million hryvnias in assistance since 2022.'A key part of Wings of Hope's work involves advocating for legal reforms that help verify organizations involved in humanitarian aid.
Lipska, who left a career in IT to dedicate herself to philanthropy, stresses the importance of a systematic approach:
'I always say you have to eat an elephant one bite at a time.'The foundation collaborates with the Ukrainian Catholic University and the Caritas organization, focusing its efforts on emergency response and advocacy.
In this way, Wings of Hope continues its work for the benefit of society, maintaining a focus on helping children and military personnel while actively pushing for legislative changes that govern humanitarian aid in Ukraine.
The foundation's activities are a vital part of the support system for Ukrainians during the war. Its efforts in providing medical supplies to the armed forces and humanitarian relief underscore the need for a collective societal response to the country's challenges. The foundation's work also highlights the importance of advocacy in the legal sphere, which can help improve the effectiveness of humanitarian initiatives in Ukraine.
