Currently, Europe's gas storage facilities are filled to 90% of their capacity. This allows the EU to get ahead of plans for filling storage for the next winter period. According to Bloomberg, as of the beginning of the week, storage filling is slightly lower compared to last year due to reduced supplies in the summer. However, this figure still exceeds the annual average.

In European countries, discussions are still ongoing about how to replace Russian gas after the transit agreement between the Russian Federation and Ukraine expires. Meanwhile, Norway, which is the largest gas supplier to Europe, is conducting extensive maintenance, which puts traders on high alert. As Europe reduces imports of liquefied natural gas, supplies from Norway are of great significance.
