In September and December 2024, a serviceman of the border guard unlawfully sold ammunition - cartridges and F1 grenades - to a local resident for 20 thousand hryvnias.
In December of the same year, he offered the same man to provide official information monthly for 40 thousand hryvnias. This concerned data about the locations of firing positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and border guard units, as well as the places and times of aerial reconnaissance for unobstructed movement and sale of goods.
Court Decision
The Glukhov City District Court of the Sumy Region reviewed the case and heard the position of the defendant. At the hearing, the border guard fully admitted his guilt, expressed sincere remorse, and apologized for his actions.
The court also took into account that the defendant actively cooperated with the investigation and contributed to the disclosure of crimes.
