Body Language Expert: Ratcliffe Insincerely Supported Amorim at Manchester United

Jim Ratcliffe's Statements about Ruben Amorim Raised Doubts

According to The Sun: Jim Ratcliffe, co-owner of Manchester United, raised doubts with his stance on coach Ruben Amorim. The body language expert believes that he was 'not honest' in his comments about supporting Amorim for the next three years.

Amorim has come under pressure after a poor start to the season, with the team losing three of their first six matches in the Premier League. Additionally, they were defeated by a lower division club in the Carabao Cup, losing to Grimsby.

However, at the end of the international break, Amorim managed to secure a 2-0 victory over Sunderland. Nonetheless, the pressure on him remains high due to the upcoming match against Liverpool.

Ratcliffe tried to downplay media speculations, emphasizing that he wants to give Amorim three years to achieve success at 'Old Trafford'. He stated in The Business podcast:

“He hasn’t had the best season. Ruben needs to show he’s a great coach over three years. That’s where I would be.”

According to body language expert Imbal Honigman, during Ratcliffe's interview, it was evident that he was not entirely honest. She noted the tension in his body language, rapid blinking, and crossed arms.

“Jim Ratcliffe shows a lot of tension during the interview, and there are many signs that he’s not entirely honest at certain moments.”

As a reminder, last week, Amorim stated that he does not plan to leave his position as head coach of United, despite pressure from some fans after the 3-1 loss to Brentford. When asked about a possible dismissal, he said:

“That’s a decision for the board. I can’t do that.”

The situation surrounding Ruben Amorim remains tense. The coach will have to not only deliver results on the field but also overcome skepticism from the management. Whether he can find acceptable decisions that satisfy both sides will be shown in the next match against Liverpool, where a victory would be an important step in restoring trust.
