Brazilian bodybuilder dies from muscle-eating infection: family blames supplements.
Death of the bodybuilder
According to The Sun: Bodybuilder Kevin Notario Nunes died at the age of 28 due to an infection that affects soft tissues. His family claims the cause was the use of illegal muscle mass-building substances. Nunes, a former state champion, was hospitalized with severe hip pain and underwent surgery.
Doctors in the Brazilian city of Ponta Porã diagnosed him with necrotizing fasciitis—a rare but aggressive infection.
“He was always smiling. His life was bodybuilding,” said his brother.
Unfortunately, the fight against this dangerous disease was unsuccessful, and the bodybuilder could not survive.
This tragedy once again highlights the risks associated with the use of unapproved substances in sports competitions. It is important to be aware of the consequences that can arise from excessive reliance on such substances and to seek safer alternatives to achieve athletic goals.
