Militant who fought against Ukraine received a life sentence.

A fighter who participated in the war in eastern Ukraine against the Defense Forces received a life sentence based on SBU materials. This information was published by the SBU Directorate in the Cherkasy region on their Facebook profile.

Thanks to the evidence base of the Security Service, another traitor who fought against the Defense Forces in Donetsk region has been sentenced to prison. The trial took place in a special judicial proceeding in absentia (in the absence of the accused). For the committed crimes, the court sentenced the traitor to life imprisonment with confiscation of all his property.

According to information from the case materials, the convict is from the city of Yenakiieve, which is currently under the control of Russian troops in the Donetsk region. Since the beginning of the Russian Federation's invasion, he voluntarily joined the unit of the so-called DNR military commandant's office.

Throughout the war, the criminal provided support to the occupiers in conducting subversive activities against Ukraine, particularly in Horlivka. He was responsible for controlling military discipline in occupation units. In cooperation with the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation, he performed tasks related to civil defense and ensured compliance with passport control and public order maintenance.

Based on the collected evidence, the court found the defendant guilty of committing state treason, which was committed under martial law according to the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The traitor is hiding from justice in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine.

Before the judicial investigation, SBU employees in the Cherkasy region conducted a pre-trial investigation under the guidance of the regional prosecutor's office.

Let us recall, the Security Service of Ukraine detained an FSB agent in Kyiv who planned to enroll in the Army of Drones school to spy on Ukrainian military personnel.

In addition, the counterintelligence of the Security Service detained an FSB agent who attempted to spy on SBU employees and adjusted missile strikes on enterprises in the Zaporizhzhia region involved in the defense-industrial complex.

Let us also recall, in the Khmelnytskyi region, a 55-year-old sports coach was detained for reconnaissance of the deployment and movement of the Defense Forces. He was sentenced to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property.
