The EU guarantees support for Ukraine regardless of the US - Borrell

The High Representative of the European Union, Josep Borrell, stated that regardless of changes in US foreign policy, the EU will continue to provide support for Ukraine. This was announced during a meeting of G7 foreign ministers in Fiji-Anandzhi.

'We must continue to provide Ukraine with the necessary support, regardless of the US position,' Borrell emphasized. He added that the EU would act independently, guided by its own commitments and resources.

According to the EU representative, when the European Union speaks of its strategic autonomy, it is obliged to continue supporting Ukraine. Borrell also noted that support will not be halted by an order from the US president.

Borrell emphasized that the US is an important player, but the EU is ready to use all its resources to support Ukraine's defense. This remains the unwavering position of the European Union.
