According to The Sun: British racer Will McIntyre reported that he has been diagnosed with brain and lung cancer.
This talented teenager won at the Silverstone circuit in the GB3 Championship in April, competing for Elite Motorsport.
GB3Unfortunately, Will noted that doctors diagnosed him with brain and lung cancer. The young racer noticed that he had been feeling worse over the past few months.
He is receiving medical assistance at Milton Keynes Hospital, where treatment is being planned for him.
In his emotional Instagram post, Will shared:
“This is a very different post from usual, but I will be straightforward. Over the past few months, I haven’t felt like I should and I’m beginning to understand why. I have been diagnosed with brain and lung cancer. Unfortunately, it is as serious as it sounds! A fantastic team of doctors at Milton Keynes Hospital is already helping me put together a plan for how I will fight this.”
Will also confirmed that he does not plan to return to racing anytime soon, but hopes to get back behind the wheel when his condition improves.

His post received numerous support from the racing community and fans. Many people left comments expressing their best wishes.
The Elite Motorsport team, to which Will belongs, also expressed their support:

Will McIntyre won the Italian karting championship in 2016, and at 14 years old began competing in car racing. He finished second in the Ginetta Junior and British F4 championships in 2022 and 2023, respectively.
The GB3 Championship has already become a starting ground for future stars like George Russell, Lando Norris, and Jamie Chadwick.
