Oliver Brackenbury, 35, tried to board an international flight on December 16 without a ticket when staff from the Australian Federal Police (AFP) approached him for a conversation.
Details of the Incident
Authorities claim that Brackenbury, without a ticket, was behaving aggressively, leading to a tense situation. Police personnel attempted to subdue him, but during the confrontation, witnesses reported that he tried to grab the weapon of one of the officers.
“He exhibited aggression and attempted to reach for the officer’s gun,” the agency highlighted.
Response of Law Enforcement
Australian law enforcement quickly reacted to the situation and apprehended the suspect. He was charged with assaulting a law enforcement officer and attempted escape from the airport.
