Omaze Lottery Winner Sells House in London for £4.5 Million: Where the Money Will Go.
The Most Expensive Apartment in Britain Up for Sale in London
According to The Sun: The most expensive apartment in Britain has appeared, valued at £4.5 million. It was purchased by a future father in a lottery draw for just £10.
Roger Kana became the owner of a Georgian townhouse in May and has already decided to sell it. The house is located near the Borough Market in London.
SWNSKana and his wife Shalini decided to sell the apartment to give their son "the best start possible." The five-story house features four bedrooms and a view of The Shard.
Kana spent just £35 on the tickets, which was "the most incredible moment" that moved his family from a rented apartment in Hayes to central London streets.
“Since then, the arrival of our baby has made it even more special,” said Kana.
“This has been the best year of our lives. We will always cherish the memories we created as a new family in this house.”
“With the £250,000 we also won, we always knew we could stay here for years without financial problems – but we decided to sell as the money from the sale will change everything for us.”
“We can give our son the best start, help our loved ones, plan for a secure future, and still have money left to enjoy life,” Kana added.
“This experience has truly changed our lives – we feel incredibly happy.”
Roger Kana became one of 40 Omaze winners who suddenly became millionaires.
He moved to the UK from Goa, India, eight years ago and was trying to save for a deposit for a mortgage before his son's birth.
“My wife is an accountant, but you don’t have to be a numbers expert to understand that turning £35 into £4.5 million is a fantastic profit,” he noted.
The home's legacy is marked by a unique sign saying “Take Courage,” and inside it features designer interiors, a custom kitchen, and luxurious bathrooms.
The extended sunroom with metal framing opens up to a garden designed by Chelsea Flower Show gold medalists.
“All Omaze winners have the option to live in their new home, rent it out for additional income, or sell it right after getting the keys – the choice is theirs,” added an Omaze representative.
