Britain has imposed sanctions against the missile spotters in Mariupol.
The Government of the United Kingdom announced the freezing of assets and the introduction of other restrictions on Russian hackers and spies involved in the missile strike on the Dramatic Theater in Mariupol, where over 300 Ukrainians lost their lives.
According to the UK government website, the sanctions are aimed at Russian spies who are part of Putin's aggressive actions.
Following the introduction of the restrictions, the sanctions are applied to a group of units of the Russian military intelligence GRU and 18 officers responsible for cyberattacks and intelligence.
Among other accusations, GRU officers are responsible for the cyberattack on the daughter of British spy Skripal using X-Agent software.
UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy emphasized that the Kremlin will do everything possible to harm Europe and undermine the security of nations.
The European Union has also imposed new sanctions against Russia, to which Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky noted that the restrictions are an important step in curbing Russia's aggression and protecting the sovereignty of Ukraine and Europe.
As a result of the sanctions adopted by the UK and the European Union, Russian hackers and spies involved in the missile strike on the theater in Mariupol are being held accountable. This also raises questions about the circumstances and consequences of this tragedy, as well as the overall situation in the field of cybersecurity and global politics in general.
