Deferment Without Medical Exam: How Reserved Workers at Critical Enterprises Can Secure Exemption.
Reserving Employees at Enterprises Vital to the Economy
According to Novyny.live: Men liable for military service may now be formally reserved at companies designated as critical to the national economy without first undergoing a mandatory military medical commission (MMC). This change allows the leadership of such enterprises to submit employee lists for reservation in line with legal quotas.
According to updated regulations, having a current military medical commission assessment is no longer a prerequisite for reserving personnel at strategically important businesses. This significantly streamlines the process for those working in sectors essential to the country’s economic stability.
“If you are employed at a critical enterprise and there is no wanted status in the 'Reserve+' system, you must be reserved regardless of whether you have completed the MMC,” stated Vladyslav Deriy.
Furthermore, company directors have the authority to submit employee lists for reservation, helping to maintain the stable operation of these vital businesses. If needed, a reservation can be revoked upon the employer’s request, adding flexibility to workforce management during wartime.
Deriy also emphasized:
“You are not violating any rules—you have a legal deferment that is recorded in the state registry.”
This means that those who receive a deferment can continue working at critical enterprises without fear of legal repercussions.
However, caution is advised regarding the MMC process. “If you undergo the MMC now, you risk receiving a combat summons by mail during the gap between the end of your postgraduate deferment and the formalization of your reservation at a critical enterprise,” warned Vladyslav Deriy. This could lead to unforeseen complications, so it is essential to weigh the potential risks carefully.
Notably, visiting a territorial recruitment center (TRC) is no longer required for future reservations, saving time and effort for employees of critical enterprises. These policy updates are designed to support the country’s economy amid the challenges of war by ensuring strategic sectors have the necessary personnel.
Economic Impact of the New Rules
The revised reservation rules for military-liable employees at critical enterprises aim to boost operational efficiency and ensure stability during hostilities. By removing the MMC requirement, the process becomes faster and more straightforward—a move that could positively influence the national economy under current difficult conditions. Still, it remains crucial to manage the risks tied to medical commission attendance to prevent unexpected outcomes for those eligible for deferment.
