Bruno Guimarães named his four best players in the world: why Isaac is not on the list.
Newcastle player Bruno Guimarães faced criticism for his choice of the best players in the world
According to The Sun: Bruno Guimarães, Newcastle's midfielder, came under fire for not including one of the top strikers in his list of the four greatest footballers.
The 27-year-old player was responding to questions about who he thinks are the best footballers in the world ahead of the Champions League match against Barcelona.
GettyGuimarães noted that in the match against the Catalans, he would have to play against two of the best players.
Among his favorites, he named Barcelona players – Lamine Yamal and Raphinha, as well as the duo from PSG – Vitinha and Ousmane Dembélé.
Despite the interesting choice, some fans noted that the former teammate Alexander Isak, who moved to Liverpool this summer, was not mentioned in the list.
Isak, considered one of the best strikers, did not make it to Guimarães's list, prompting fans to ponder possible resentment over his departure.
Fans commented:
“Someone is upset that Isak went to Liverpool.”
Another added:

Nevertheless, when asked about his feelings regarding Isak's transfer, Guimarães assured that he holds no grudges. He said:
“I believe football is a business. The club made that decision [to sell him].”
“He left, I wish him all the best after everything we experienced together.”
“But it's time to look forward, not back, and think about the game tomorrow.”

This situation illustrates how emotionally football binds players and fans to a club. The departures of key players always provoke strong reactions; however, it is important to understand that football remains a business where player movements occur for specific reasons. Guimarães openly stated that he supports Isak and is ready to move on, focusing on Newcastle's upcoming matches.
