"Budanov could kill Zelensky": what lies behind the new "throw-in" from Lukashenko.
The Center for Strategic Communications and Information Security of Ukraine has refuted the Russian fake news about President Volodymyr Zelensky and the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense Kirill Budanov.
According to the Center's Telegram channel, self-proclaimed dictator of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko spread misinformation, being convinced that "Budanov could eliminate President Zelensky".
"The desire to "kill", "remove from office", declare "illegitimate" is a long-standing dream of Moscow and, accordingly, Minsk", - experts from the Center note.
The experts from the Center pointed out that according to the established narrative, Zelensky's presidency is one of the obstacles for "peaceful negotiations" with Russia. Therefore, this narrative is regularly supported not only by Putin and his supporters, but also by Lukashenko.
These fakes are aimed at creating discord among Ukrainians and sowing distrust between the military and political leadership of Ukraine, emphasized the Center for Strategic Communications and Information Security.
Earlier, the media reported that the Kremlin spread fake news that the Democrats wanted to kill Trump.
