Construction workers will receive a guaranteed salary increase.
A sector agreement was signed in Borodyanka between the Ministry of Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine and the Trade Union of Construction Workers and the Construction Materials Industry of Ukraine. According to the ministry, the agreement will be in effect from 2025 to 2027 and provides for updated social and labor guarantees for workers in the industry, including salary increases.
According to the new edition of the Agreement, the guaranteed minimum wage rate for workers performing simple and unskilled work will increase from 231% to 401% of the living wage for a working individual. This means an increase in the minimum salary from 6995 UAH to 12142 UAH per month.
Measures to improve working conditions
As noted by the Deputy Minister of Communities and Territories Development Natalia Kozlovska, the agreement also includes measures for legalizing employment in construction, improving employee qualifications, mechanisms for ensuring workplace safety and hygiene, as well as tools for collective protection of labor rights.
The agreement signed between the Ministry of Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine and the Trade Union of Construction Workers provides for salary increases and improvements in working conditions for construction workers. This will contribute to ensuring fairer working conditions and improving the quality of life for this category of workers.
