Budget eggs have become elusive — what about prices in supermarkets.

Some supermarkets have changed the prices of chicken eggs, and they have increased. Single products have become more expensive at ATB, as the price has approached that of a dozen eggs.

How much do eggs cost in July

According to the Ministry of Finance, the average price of a package of C1 category eggs ranges from 70.30 to 73.53 UAH. Prices have slightly increased — the lower limit at the beginning of July was 65 UAH, which is 5 UAH less.

At ATB, the price of single eggs has risen from 4.63 to 4.97 UAH per piece. A dozen costs 49.70 UAH.

In various popular stores, the price of a package of chicken eggs is as follows:

• Varus — 53.80 UAH;
• ATB — 59.90 UAH;
• Fora — 59.90 UAH;
• Silpo — 59.99 UAH;
• Novus — 59.19 UAH;
• Aushan — 60.80 UAH;
• Metro — 66.46 UAH;
• MegaMarket — 67.40 UAH.

Varus is conducting a discount on goods (-50%), which are approaching the end of their shelf life, and sells eggs cheaper than ATB — for 3.99 UAH/piece.

What to expect from egg prices

Expert Oleg Pendzin stated that in July prices will remain at June levels, and no significant increase or decrease is expected. Pendzin claims that the price is formed based on the cost of feed for chickens, promising that by the end of the year it will be clear how egg prices will change for Ukrainians.

What else Ukrainians should know

Purchase prices for apples remain high, although the harvest has begun. This trend is related to the large volume of imported products and consumer purchases.

ATB is also offering discounts of up to 50% on popular food products, allowing Ukrainians to save on their favorite goods.
