Eggs in Ukraine have risen in price again: where to buy them cheaper than 5 UAH each.
In August 2025, the prices for unpackaged chicken eggs in Ukraine increased, leading to higher consumer costs for this product. According to the news site Novyny.LIVE, the prices for eggs sold individually have been raised in various supermarkets, including ATB.
According to the Ministry of Finance, the price of a carton of eggs of category C1 ranges from 67.90 to 73.53 UAH. Prices vary by supermarket chain and generally do not fall below 53.80 UAH from Varus.
The prices for individual eggs have also increased, narrowing the price gap with packaged eggs. For example, in ATB, the cost of one egg ranged from 4.30 to 4.97 UAH, and on July 5, the price was 5.14 UAH each.
The minimum prices for a carton of eggs in various stores are listed below:
- Varus — 53.80 UAH;
- Novus — 58.99 UAH;
- ATB — 59.90 UAH;
- Fora — 59.90 UAH;
- Aushan — 59.90 UAH;
- Silpo — 59.99 UAH;
- Metro — 66.46 UAH;
- MegaMarket — 67.40 UAH.
Some stores offer discounts on eggs or reduce prices due to expiration dates, allowing consumers to save money.
Moreover, cucumbers in Ukraine have also increased in price to 30-50 UAH per kilogram, which is 16% more than at the end of July 2025. Market trends indicate stable demand and a decrease in supply due to weather conditions.
Supermarkets such as Silpo offer a variety of products with discounts of up to 50%, allowing consumers to save on purchases.
