Eintracht Frankfurt coach reveals dream to lead Manchester United: what is known.
According to The Sun: Eintracht Frankfurt head coach Dino Toppmöller expressed a desire to lead Manchester United.
Toppmöller has made a name for himself in the Bundesliga, leading his team to the Champions League last season and achieving a 5-1 victory in the tournament's opening match against Galatasaray.
Ruben Amorim under pressure at United ReutersThe coach confirmed that he would like to work at United, as the pressure on current manager Ruben Amorim is constantly increasing.
Toppmöller, 44, told Bild: “Thinking about abroad, I often played video games as a child, always as one team: Manchester United. It would be extraordinary because it is an extraordinary club.”
“When I was a teenager, Manchester United, alongside Real Madrid, was the best club.”
It is known that Toppmöller has already rejected one offer from another club – a £6 million per year contract at Saudi Arabian Al-Ittihad.
Meanwhile, Amorim slightly eased the tension around his position after a 2-1 victory over Chelsea over the weekend, which followed a week when he was pressured regarding a tactical change.
Amorim is confident in his 3-4-3 formation and openly stated that United should change its coach if it wants to fundamentally change its system.
When asked whether management had suggested revising tactics, he replied: “No, no one. Not even the Pope will change that.”
“This is my job. This is my responsibility. This is my life. So I will not change it.”id='6379971645112' data-video-id='6379971645112' data-account='5067014667001' data-player='default' data-usage='cms:WordPress:6.5.6:2.8.6:javascript' data-embed='default' class='video-js' data-application-id='' controls style='width: 100%; height: 100%; position: absolute; top: 0; bottom: 0; right: 0; left: 0;'>
