According to The Sun: A bus driver was fired for wearing a 'Liverpool' shirt when his vehicle was surrounded by 'Chelsea' fans. 21-year-old Isaac, a passionate supporter of 'Liverpool', was replacing a train in west London.
'Chelsea' fans celebrated a 2-1 victory over 'Liverpool' at Stamford Bridge when they surrounded Isaac's bus, starting to sing and knock on the windows.
His employer fired him on Monday on immediate order, citing 'serious disruptions and delays' in service.
Isaac blames Tfl and Sadiq Khan for his dismissal
Isaac said:
“They sent an official email. I woke up in the morning to fulfill my duty — I didn't know what route I would be taking.”
When he realized he would have to drive past 'Chelsea's' stadium, he understood it would be the epicenter of events.
Commenting on the situation, he noted that although the incident looks funny on video, it was actually quite scary:
“If you look at the video, it looks funny, but it was scary.”
A1 Transport Recruitment, which provides agents for 'Transport for London', fired Isaac on Monday.
In their statement, they said:
“According to GDPR, we cannot comment on this matter. It is being reviewed under internal procedures.”
Isaac blames Tfl and Sadiq Khan for his dismissal, emphasizing that the situation in the company leaves much to be desired:
“I see no care in TfL anymore. I don’t think they are operating correctly.”
