Luke Littler's Experience in Playing Darts

According to The Sun: Luke Littler, a young darts player, strives to improve his skills under psychological pressure. Recently, at a tournament in Hungary, the 18-year-old athlete suffered a defeat to Danny Noppert.

As a result, Luke decided to skip the Swiss Darts Trophy, where Steven Bunting emerged victorious.

In a conversation with his equipment supplier, Target Darts, Littler shared his thoughts on his game:

“I always want to change, especially with the gold darts at the World Championship. I wanted to succeed with them because it’s a beautiful dart. But I just can’t figure it out. Maybe it’s the color, it’s in my head. Black darts are easier.”
“Clearly, I won the World Championship with them, the Premier League, Matchplay – I will always go back to them.”

Although he has reverted to using traditional darts, Luke has also made a significant change to his equipment:

“I switched from the silver point to the black. As a darts player, you know what works for you.”
“I’ve played with silver points for many years, but the black point just feels better for me.”

Littler hopes that these changes will positively impact his performance at the World Grand Prix tournament, where he will compete against Dutchman Giaan van Veen next week.

The title defender, Luke Humphries, will start his tournament run against a tough matchup against Nathan Aspinall.

Considering the failures that Littler has experienced, his determination to change his game demonstrates a desire for improvement. The World Grand Prix tournament will serve as a good test for the young player trying to find his rhythm and become successful on the professional stage. The competition will also provide an opportunity for Humphries to reaffirm his champion status, as the tournament promises to be tough for all participants.
