Previously, he was a teammate of Carlo Ancelotti, who was just starting his career.

The team SEVENTH LEVEL decided to give a chance to the EIGHTY-TWO-YEAR-OLD goalkeeper, despite his last professional game taking place in 2019.

Borana made his debut for Trevana in a match against Foligno, but his team lost 0-10, and the goalkeeper was substituted.

He conceded five goals, as his 26-year-old replacement, Maurizio Rossi, also could not keep his goal intact.

“I made two mistakes. But I made three or four good saves.”

Although the match was unsuccessful, Borana demonstrated quick reactions, making several successful saves.

He started his career back in 1961 and played over 100 matches in Serie A.

The player represented clubs such as Fiorentina and Parma, but most regularly defended the goal for Cesena.

From 1973 to 1977, he was a key player for the club from Emilia-Romagna, participating in 92 Serie A matches.

During his time at Parma in Serie B, his path crossed with the current manager of Brazil, Carlo Ancelotti.

Ancelotti was just starting his career at that time, while Borana was already 36 years old.

Ancelotti has won numerous titles as a player and coach, and Borana has become a unique example of longevity in football.

He first retired in 1993 at the club Bastardo, but returned again in 2009 at Ammeto.

Borana played until 2015 at Papiano, and then left football for three years before joining Marottese for one season.

Besides football, he also obtained a medical degree.

He also worked as a physiotherapist at Bastardo before playing his only match for the club.

Borana previously noted that his age could be compared to that of Luka Modric, who is also 40 and continues to play for AC Milan.

“On the field, his age is practically unnoticeable.”

“Modric has such a talent that does not fade. The age at which people start considering a person 'old' has increased.”

“Even at 50, one can be considered young... but in a different way.”

Borana has succeeded in master sports as well, becoming a record holder. In 2012, he set a world record in the triple jump in the M70 category, achieving a jump of 10.75 m, and is also the M65 record holder in long jump with a result of 5.47 m.
