This is the end: NATO Secretary General reacts to Trump's phone call with Putin.
NATO calls for Ukraine to be included in processes after Trump's conversation with Putin
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte commented on the phone call between US President Donald Trump and Russian leader Vladimir Putin. He noted that after this conversation, it is important to include Ukraine in all processes.
The NATO Secretary General said this before the start of the meeting of defense ministers of the allied countries in Brussels. Rutte emphasized that after Trump's communication with Putin and his subsequent call to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, 'we will see how this will develop, step by step.'
'It is very important for Ukraine to be closely involved in everything happening around Ukraine... The decisive factor will be that when a peace agreement is reached, Putin must know that this is the end, that he will never again be able to try to seize part of Ukraine, so this must be part of the negotiations, and undoubtedly, this is also understood by President Trump,' Rutte stated.
On Wednesday, February 12, Trump spoke with Putin and stated that they agreed to stop the millions of deaths occurring as a result of the war between Russia and Ukraine. The US President also noted that they agreed to work together and visit each other.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky revealed the details of the conversation with Trump about ending the war.
