Zelenskyy Unveils 40-Day Campaign to Pressure Russia: Key Details of the Plan Through 2026.
A Strategy to Intensify Pressure on Moscow
According to UATV: On June 25, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy launched a 40-day initiative designed to ramp up pressure on Russia and bring the war to an end. The plan carries a deadline of early August 2026, underscoring the urgency with which Kyiv is approaching the current military situation.
Core Components of the Plan
The program involves large-scale operations aimed at destroying the enemy's critical assets. A central element is the use of drones to conduct mass strikes against all adversary systems. Mykola Malomuzh, a Ukrainian army general and former head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine, stated that these attacks will target frontline and near-frontline areas, as well as strategic military sites deep within enemy territory, up to 2,000–3,000 kilometers away.
Additionally, the plan calls for dismantling Russia's oil infrastructure, which is expected to significantly weaken its economic capabilities.
'And, of course, special operations will be carried out to destroy specific facilities, such as factories, airfields, and bridges (including in Crimea),' Malomuzh emphasized. This reflects a targeted and comprehensive approach to executing the program, which also involves special units tasked with eliminating strategic assets.
Overall, this new initiative by the Ukrainian leadership aims not only to escalate military actions but also to systematically degrade the enemy's resources—a strategy that experts believe could substantially alter the course of the war.
The introduction of this program highlights Ukraine's strategic shift toward intensifying combat operations and destroying key enemy resources. With growing tensions on the front lines, this decision could reshape the conflict's dynamics, as focusing on critical infrastructure may have far-reaching consequences for the adversary's military capabilities. At the same time, successful implementation will require a high level of coordination and support from both domestic forces and international partners.
