Poet, showman, journalist, and TV host Kostiantyn Hnatenko expressed his dissatisfaction with the lyrics of the popular song 'Without You,' performed by the duet of Maksym Borodin and Zlata Ognevich. The artist pointed out linguistic errors in the composition.

Maksym Borodin, along with Zlata Ognevich, sings 'bihav' instead of the Ukrainian 'bih' in the song 'Without You.'

Oh, 'bihav,' it's terrible. If I somehow regard others..., then Zlata Ognevich simply killed me. Well, Zlata... An intellectual singer, believe me. You can count on one hand in Ukraine the number of singers who read books. Zlata is a smart woman. How could she mess up like that? And they're playing it. It's a terrible thing. But one friend of mine, a poet, when we talked about this, said: 'Kostya, let it be. Let's let it be that way, maybe it will get better later...'. Let's perceive this as a window of growth. Well, we will outgrow it.

Moreover, Hnatenko drew attention to the low level of language culture not only in songs but also on television.

Hnatenko added that many artists switch from the Ukrainian language to the Russian language, which leads to errors in the lyrics of songs.

I understand that all these people who make mistakes were Russian-speaking, Russian-jawed. Now, it's very difficult to adjust these jaws to the Ukrainian language. Let it be this way. We will fix it later. Then someone will advise. The next text will be better than the previous ones. Will it be like this in reality? It's hard to say, but at least I hope for it.
