Waiting not long — which product for Ukrainians should become cheaper.
Ukrainian stores always have a wide selection of vegetables, but sometimes prices can shock customers. Even the most needed products, such as 'borscht set', can be relatively expensive. So, it is useful for Ukrainians to know what to expect regarding vegetable prices in the future.
What will happen to vegetable prices
According to the head of the Union of Ukrainian Peasantry Ivan Tomych, by autumn 2025, vegetable prices will remain roughly at the same level. Even potatoes may become cheaper during the harvest, but when autumn approaches, prices may rise. The labor shortage and weather conditions will lead to an increase in vegetable prices.
Which products have increased in price the most
Ukrainians are forced to spend more money on fruits, vegetables, milk, and meat due to economic circumstances. The prices of apples, eggs, barley groats, sunflower oil, and beets have risen the most. An increase in bread prices is also expected in 2025.
According to the forecasts of the head of the Union of Ukrainian Peasantry, vegetable prices will not change significantly until autumn 2025, but the cost of some products, such as apples and eggs, will continue to rise. Ukrainians should prepare for further increases in expenses for certain food products.
