The world boxing champion suddenly died a week after his victorious fight.


At the age of 35, Paul Bamba, WBA Gold heavyweight world champion, passed away. This was reported by the athlete's manager, singer Ne-Yo. The causes of death are not disclosed.
He was a determined yet confident boxer with constant ambitions to achieve greatness. He was especially an outstanding individual who inspired many with his extraordinary drive and determination.
Last week, on December 21, Bamba won his first title in his career - WBA Gold in heavyweight.
He won the fight against Mexican Rogelio Medina by opponent's refusal to continue the match after the sixth round.
Additionally, after his victory, the athlete challenged American blogger Jake Paul, who defeated Mike Tyson in December.
It is known that Paul Bamba began his professional career in 2021. He had a total of 22 fights, of which he won 19. In 2024, the boxer broke Mike Tyson's record for the most knockout victories in a year - 14 early wins.
Previously, Ukrainian boxer Vyacheslav Uzelkov passed away at the age of 45.
Also, 25-year-old Ukrainian boxing champion Kartzan suddenly passed away. He was a master of sports of international class in boxing and a multiple champion of Ukraine. He represented our country at the European Games 2023, where the boxer finished his fight in the 1/8 finals of the competition.
