Border Delays Possible on January 17th Due to System Issues, Warn Ukrainian Officials.
Ukraine Border Crossing Status for January 17
According to Novyny.live: Ukrainian border officials are advising travelers to plan for potential delays on January 17th due to possible disruptions in electronic systems. As of this date, minor queues have been observed at several border crossing points (BCPs).
Conditions at Specific Border Checkpoints
As of 12:00, there were virtually no queues for exit from Ukraine. At the 'Yahodyn' BCP, no buses were registered and pedestrian crossing is not available. The 'Ustyluh' BCP had 10 cars and 1 bus waiting, with no pedestrian crossing. No queues were recorded at the following BCPs:
- Uhryniv
- Rava-Ruska
- Hrushiv
- Krakivets
- Smilnytsia
- Nyzhankovychi
- Dyakove
- Solotvyno
- Porubne
- Krasnoilsk
- Dyakivtsi
- Mamalyha

At the 'Shehyni' BCP, pedestrian crossing is operational in both directions, but no cars or buses were observed. Similarly, at the 'Malyi Bereznyi' BCP, pedestrian crossing is available both ways, though no vehicles or buses were present. The 'Uzhhorod' BCP had 10 cars, no buses or pedestrians, but pedestrian crossing is possible in both directions. The 'Tysa' BCP recorded 5 cars, with no buses and no pedestrian crossing.
It is also important to note that the 'Dzvinkove' BCP operates from 08:00 to 19:00, and the 'Kosyno' BCP from 08:00 to 20:00. Border guards urge drivers and pedestrians to factor this schedule into their travel plans. These checkpoints are critical links for trade and travel between Ukraine and its EU neighbors.
The situation at the Ukrainian border demonstrates relative stability, despite minor queues observed at some individual crossing points. It is vital for citizens to heed border officials' warnings regarding potential electronic system failures, which could impact the border crossing process. Strict adherence to BCP operating hours will also help avoid unexpected delays during journeys.
